These, Monday and Thursday 9:00 till 12:00, classes are designed to cover clay basics. We will incorporated wheel thrown forms into some of our work. The classes usually consist of 4 to 5 finished and fired works over the coarse of 2 weeks. The last Thursday will be devoted to all students participating in a raku firing, weather permitting. Each piece, usually a challis of some sort, will be glazed and fired on site. This has to be the student's favorite part of the class.

Crazy 'Garden Creatures' will be created by participants. Each creature will be approximately 24 inches tall. Using this cylindrical form as a neck a head will be built then covered with slips and cone 6 glazes for a long lasting personal accent to any garden. Workshop will be held from 9:00 am till 12:00 noon. Work will be able to be picked up the week or 2 later.

Tennessee Craft has become a spring event in middle Tennessee. Opening at 10:00 Friday morning and Closing up and packing up Sunday at 5:00 it is a welcomed boost to the local economy. I plan to be a part of the Plateau group booth this year. Stop by and say hello!
